Porsche Announces Mission E Production Name
Porsche have announced that the production name for the Mission E concept will be the ‘Taycan’. The name is loosely dirived from the Eurasian name for a ‘lively young horse’. A horse is featured on Porsche’s crest; something that was first featured in 1952.
The all-electric vehicle will have nearly 600bhp and will enable fast-charging to 80% in just 15 minutes. The car’s power will only come second to Porche’s turbocharged GT2RS and should hit showrooms in 2020. In our opinion, it can’t come soon enough.
